* Better motor skills, coordination, and strength

Self-Discipline could change your child's life for ever.

Discipline can be broken down into three categories. Children who have self-discipline will do what they know is right without being told. Children who are disciplined will do what they are told to do, but children who have no discipline will not even do that. Our program teaches children to develop self-discipline.

Respect  for others is the first line of self-defense.

Children learn how to say "Yes, Sir/Ma'am" and "No, Sir/Ma'am" in their very first class. They are also taught self-respect by learning to keep their environment clean, not to take drugs and appreciate education. Remembering names is a social skill that is developed in martial arts and also shows respect.

Goal Setting is another concept that starts with the very first class.

Sometimes people don't set goals high enough for themselves. We teach students to set very high goals and to persevere to try to reach their goals. Some people have the ability to get through rough times and stay focused on their goals. We want all of our students to develop this indomitable spirit. By doing so, a high degree of success and potential is attained.

Lil' Dragon Program

Farrell's USMA Lil' Dragons

The purpose and main focus of the Lil' Dragons curriculum is to prepare preschool and kindergarten (ages 4-6) children to enter the Tiger TaeKwonDo program. The Lil' Dragons curriculum consists of the junior program white belt curriculum along with drills and exercises designed to aid the student's development of concentration skills and self-control. The program will take most students one year to complete. At the end of the course, the student will be prepared to enter the Tiger program.

Lil' Dragon Creed

I hope I never have to use my TaeKwonDo.
I look for the good in all people.
I keep my TaeKwonDo covered like a treasure in my pocket.
Ah Saa!

Little Dragon Promotions
If your child receives the black knowledge stripe, he/she will receive their next Lil' Dragon Belt at the regular belt promotions at your school, which is typically every two months depending on class attendance and curriculum knowledge.

Tiger Program

Farrell's USMA Tiger Program

The Tiger program is for children in grades 1-2, and for children graduating from the Dragons program.  The goal for the Tiger program is to get them ready for the intermediate program, which starts at the green belt level.  It typically takes 16-18 months to go from white belt to green belt in the Tigers program.

For Graduating Dragon students:
When Lil' Dragons reach the coveted army/gold belt, they are ready to prepare for promotion to the Tiger Program.

At this belt, we suggest that the students attend one Lil' Dragon class and one Beginner level  class .This helps the transition to the Beginners classes become easier. They become accustomed to a new instructor and to the longer 45-minute classes.

At this time it is necessary to renew your child into the Tiger Program. Upon renewal, he will receive a Tiger patch to wear in place of the Lil' Dragon patch. The Tiger patch is special recognition for student in the regular Junior Program that they were once Lil' Dragons. It celebrates their promotion into the regular Junior Program.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Tigers Promotions
If your child receives the black knowledge stripe, he/she will receive their next Tiger Belt at the regular belt promotions at your school, which is typically every two months depending on class attendance and curriculum knowledge.
