Terminology (USMA)

The following section is compiled of various Korean terminology used through the study of Taekwondo. Since the Korean language is written using “Hangul” and not the Roman alphabet, all the spellings you see here are approximate romanizations and are written in such a way to aid the student in enunciating the terms properly.

Portions of information presented in this terminology guide are excerpts from the book, "Taekwondo" (copyright 1996), and appears here with the permission of the author, Grandmaster Yong Chin Pak.
